Bud Prize – The Low Down

Zachary Bodine with his winning project

Created in honor of late interior architect, Bud Persons, the Bud Prize is an annual design competition and scholarship opportunity for second year students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Department of Architecture and Urban Planning.  The prize, a joint effort between Helix and UMKC, is in its sixth year providing a design challenge to UMKC students.  This year’s assignment was to create an art gallery on the UMKC’s campus.  A reception, held at Helix, honored the top runners-up and winner, Zachary Bodine.
